Who invented the motorcycle and when?

 After the bicycle was invented and developed in the 1880s, engineers began to build two-wheelers that could run with the help of engines.  

After a few years a two-wheeled vehicle with an engine was also built, but do you know, motorcycle invevented  and when?  Let me tell you, the credit for making the world's first motorcycle is given to the German engineer and industrialist Gottlieb Wilhelm Daimler.

He built it in 1885 with his colleague Wilhelm Maybach.

The design of the motorcycle was almost identical to that of today's bicycles, with an internal combustion engine in between.  Daimler named it 'The Reitwagen';  Which means - ride car.

This motorcycle was also called 'Einspur'.  Which means - Single track. The engine it was named was 'Grandfather Clock Engine' and it was powered by petrol. Its engine capacity was 264 cc. Its entire structure was made of wooden beams.

Can be run at the speed of hours. Both its wheels and their spokes were made of wood.  The wheels were also fitted with a thin iron strip. The motorcycle was only 90 kg. Its only brake was used in the rear wheel and not in the front wheel.  (Bad Cannstatt).

In 1901, the famous Dutch company Royal Enfield made its first motorcycle, which had a 239 cc engine.  This company's Royal Enfield Bullet is the longest running design in the motorcycle's history.

America's famous motorcycle company Harley-Davidson was founded 117 years ago;  Malcolm Forbes, publisher and businessman of Forbes magazine, has a collection of more than 50 precious Harley-Davidson motorcycles in 1903. 

Carl Reese of America is the longest man in a motorcycle in 24 hours.  He made this record on 26 February 2017 by driving 3406.17 km of motorcycles continuously for 24 hours.

In 2019, about 2.18 crore motorcycles were sold in India. The first motorcycle in India was purchased by the Indian government in 1955 for the Indian Army.  The motorcycle was owned by the Royal Enfield Company, which had a 350 cc engine.

Which is the fastest motorcycle in the world?

Currently Kawasaki Ninja H2R is at number 1 in the list of world's fastest speed bikes.  It is made by Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries.  It has a 998 cc engine, so that it can run at a maximum speed of 400 kilometers per hour.
