In this modern world of Internet, every human is dependent on Internet for most of his work.  It is not too old, when consumers had to pay around 100 for only one GB of internet.  But with the arrival of Jio in 2015, as if there has been a revolution in this field. 

The arrival of Jio has not only increased internet usage, but has also established a monopoly in the Indian market.  Its network, generality and facilities at a lower price than other companies, distinguishes it from everything else.  In this article we will talk on this subject.

Jio is an Indian Telecommunication Company.  Whose full name is Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL).  It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industry.  

Jio Platforms Limited, an Indian digital service, is its parent company.  Its headquarters is located at Nariman Point in Mumbai, Mumbai, India.  It was founded on 15 February 2013 by Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani (owner of Reliance Company).

Apart from internet services, the company also provides services like Mobile, Telephone, Wireless Broadband and Over-the-Top (OTT).  LYF which is a smartphone maker is a subsidiary of Jio.  At present, Sandip Dash is its Managing Director, while its Chairman is Mukesh Ambani.

Data shows the impact of Jio in India and the world.  It has not been a decade (Decade) in the way it has come in the big market, yet by December 2019 it had achieved the status ofIndia's largest Mobile Network Operator.   

Not only this, it has become the world's third largest Mobile Network Operator with a total of 387.5 Million subscribers.  In May 2016, with the creation of Jionet WiFi and JioPhone, it released many of its applications (App) as "Jio apps".  For which the consumer only needs Jio Sim. 

In which My Jio, JioCinema, Jiosaavan, Jio4GVoice and JioBrowser are some of the main apps.  In order to bring 5G to the country after 4G, Jio has expressed a desire to work on it by partnering with Samsung company in February 2017.  Actor Shahrukh Khan, popularly known as King Khan in the cinema world, has been named Brand Ambassador of Jio in 2015.

Who is the owner of JIO -

Since Jio is a subsidiary company of Reliance, it is naturally owned by Mukesh Ambani.  Mukesh Ambani is also the owner of Jio as well as Jio Payment Bank, Reliance Retail, Network 18 and Reliance Petroleum.
