Who discovered Electricity

The importance of electricity is well known in today's era.  Without this, normal life cannot be imagined today.  From the daily utility of the individual to one of the fundamental requirements of rapid development of any country is electricity.

Electricity plays a special role in developing infrastructure for economic development.  But do you know, Who discovered Electricity?  And how was that?  So, to know this, we know the history of the discovery and development of electricity

Brief history of electricity

It is estimated that electricity was discovered about 600 years before Christ.  But the form of electricity that is prevalent today is the result of gradual development.  Various electric appliances, bulbs, telephones, radios, fans, etc., on which we depend so much today, were built by man after twenty-five hundred years.

The first great philosopher and physicist of Greece, Thales, came to know that rubbing Ambar (the decaying gum or gum) on the cloth gives it the ability to attract dried leaves, feathers, etc.  .

Since Amber is called electron in the Greek language, Thales named this property as 'Electricity' and the same term began to be used for electricity.

Since the property of attracting light objects in amber was generated by friction, hence the electricity generated in this way is called friction power.  Friction power was interpreted based on the electronic principle of charge.

Who discovered Electricity

According to this theory, every substance is made up of atoms.  The positively charged particle protons and neutral neutrons are located in the central part of the atom.

The negatively charged electrons rotate around the central part and nucleus.  Since the number of protons in electrons in an atom is equal, the atom is electrically neutral despite the presence of condensates and negative charges.

But when one substance is rubbed off on another substance, electrons from one substance go out to another.  There is a shortage of electrons in the material from which the electrons leave and go to another substance.

As a result, he behaves like a positively charged object.  The second substance, in which the electrons have moved, behaves like a negatively charged object because of the excess of electrons.

Two thousand years after Thales was discovered, William Gilbert discovered that this peculiar property is in many other substances besides amber.

Even after one or two centuries of Gilbert, scientists did not get much information about electricity.  But a few years later the Italian scientist Alessandro Volta succeeded in generating a light current by making a device.

In 1752, the United States scientist and philosopher Benjamin Franklin proved from a dangerous test that the glow of light in the sky is a form of electricity.

He flew a kite on a rainy day and tied a key on his lower end.  He felt an electric shock upon touching the key.

In 1865, French scientist Georges Leclanse made a wet battery with which electricity could be produced.  He felt an electric shock by immersing zinc and carbon sticks in an ammonium chloride solution and connecting them to the wire.

The British scientist Michael Faraday considered why electricity cannot produce electricity when electricity can produce magnets.

And they started trying to convert this ideology into truth.  He created a current of electricity from a magnet in 1831 and heralded a new era of advancement.

Many scientists made this discovery of Faraday extremely hard for mankind by working hard.  He discovered many electrical devices.

Edison made an electric bulb and he was the first to generate electricity.  The device produced by him used to deliver electricity over a square mile area.

In 1820 William Sturgeon invented the electric motor.  He created the first electromagnet.  The first successful generator was created in 1867 by a scientist named Siemens of Germany.

Sources and Development of Power Generation

Scientists named Morse and Bell succeeded in sending communication over wire and telephone by electricity.  At present, electricity is illuminating homes, running factories, speeding trains, reaching water through farms through electric pumps - no field of life is incomplete without electricity today.

The role of the transformer is very important in transporting the electric current generated in power plants from one place to another.  The power current generated in the power house is high.  This current cannot be transported from one place to another in this manner because the heat produced due to the high current of the current will be higher, which will cause the dissipation of electric energy into heat energy.

In addition, a coarse wire will be required to move the reinforce from one place to another, which will be economically expensive.  Therefore, the current of the current is reduced by shifting with the help of transformer.  Before delivering the electric current to the houses, the power of the current is brought to normal values with the help of transformer.

In 1898, electricity production started in the US with the help of water.  Gradually, electricity was also generated through wind energy, solar energy, nuclear power, bio energy etc.

Traditionally, electricity is produced through thermal power plants.  Coal is the most important source of thermal energy, but due to its limited availability and its non-renewable resources, scientists turned to alternative sources of energy.

Hydropower proved to be an important source of energy as non-conventional energy.  In hydropower plants, the energy obtained at the speed of water is converted into electrical energy by the turbine.  Not only does this source get cheap electricity but this energy source can also be renewed.

Despite the challenge of radiation hazards, Nuclear Energy is an important source of power generation because it can be obtained from small quantities of fuel only.

Nuclear Fission - When neutrons are bombarded on a heavy nucleus such as uranium 235, it disintegrates into two relatively light nuclei and generates a lot of energy.  This process generates energy in a nuclear reactor and an atomic bomb. Nuclear Fusion - In this process two light nuclei, such as hydrogen fusion, are converted into heavy nucleus helium, which generates excessive energy.  The source of the Sun's energy and the hydrogen bomb's energy is nuclear fusion.

The technique of generating energy in a controlled manner by nuclear fusion has not yet been possible.  At present nuclear energy is generated by nuclear fission.

Energy obtained by solar energy or radiation from the sun is also an extremely important source of energy.  It is estimated that only 0.1 percent of the solar radiation that reaches the Earth can be met for the entire energy needs of the Earth.

Solar radiation is converted into electrical energy, mainly through the solar cell.  The top surface of a solar cell is made up of light-sensitive materials such as sicklecan, selenium, cadmium sulfide or copper sulfide.

When the rays of the sun fall on this surface, light is absorbed and electrons are released from the surface.  It is due to these free electrons that electricity is generated.  This power is collected with the help of a battery, which can be used at any time.

The electrical energy generated from any one solar cell is very less.  Therefore, by arranging several solar cells in a particular order, solar panels are obtained and sufficient amount of electricity is obtained.

Similarly, wind power is also a viable and cost effective option for power generation.  The potential of wind energy depends on three factors - wind speed, land availability and forced grid for power discharge.  Wind energy is produced in wind power stations with the help of wind energy.

The wind rotates the leaves of the windmill, which drives the crank-shaft turbine attached to it, which drives the dynamo attached to it and by this process produces electrical energy.

Who discovered Electricity
In today's digital world, nothing can be imagined without electricity.  In our home office and the devices we use.  For all these, electricity is needed, then who made electricity for the first time and how did we discover it?

Now it is difficult to answer this in two words because many scientific experiments were done for this electricity.  In which there are things like Electric Fish, Thunder, Electric Spark.  In return for which we are taking advantage of this beautiful discovery today.

Electricity is a form of energy that is why it is considered a discovery, not an invention.  The onset of electricity is not in the 18th century or 19th century, but its relation is very old.

You will be surprised after knowing the things that came out in the archaeological discovery made in 1930. Ancient batteries of Roman times had emerged inside this discovery.  Similar batteries came out in Baghdad.  This clearly shows that the concept of electricity was there long ago.

In 600 BC, Greeks rubbed Amber with the hair of animals, which created an attraction among themselves.  This is called static electricity.

In this article it is difficult to give information about all those experiments done in the 17th century.  After all these experiments, some discoveries were made inside which there is electrostatic generator, positive and negative currents and conductor insulator.

Early experiments:

In 1772, Benjamin Franklin conducted a kite experiment which was carried out using a kite, key and electricity.  In this experiment, Benjamin Franklin flew a kite while lightning thunder and tied a key with that kite.

Because the kite had seven keys, that's why Benjamin Franklin received a loud electric shock.  After this experiment, both the spark and electricity coming from electricity were considered the same.

In the year 1800, the Italian physicist Alessandro Volta made a tremendous discovery that electricity was to be made by chemical reaction.  Volta built an electric battery using positive and negative connectors and the Volt unit was named after this scientist.

In 1831, Michael Faraday created an experiment with a copper wire and magnet, after which a way to generate electricity was found continuously.  For this experiment, Faraday moved the magnets inside a copper coil, and electricity began to be generated.

Now, after using it, we did not have to depend on batteries.  Using this experiment in 1878, American scientist Thomas Edison and British scientist Joseph Swan invented the filament light bulb in their own countries. Today, the inventor of the bulb is believed to have invented Thomas Edison while Swan invented it as well.

Now at the behest of Edison, these two scientists, Swan and Edison, together formed a company to make filament lamps.  In 1882 Newark first installed a street lamp using direct current (DC).

Nikola Tesla and AC current:

In 1900’s, Nikola Tesla, the great American inventor, worked with Thomas Edison and created Ac Motors and Alternating current (AC).  The direct current that Edison created was difficult to send to distant wakes.  The alternating current that Tesla created was very easy to send to distant wake.

Tesla's Ac Motor technology was purchased by industrialist Westinghouse.  And started the Westinghouse company in his own name and explained to the American Society that in future, it would be very beneficial to use only AC current in lieu of DC current.  After this only alternating current was used.  Let me tell you that Westinghouse was a very big company at that time.
