The display refresh rate matters a lot to improve the gaming experience.  Although the high refresh rate feature will be used mostly in PC-gaming, but now it has also become a very important component of mobile phones.  

Moving beyond the 90Hz refresh rate, the company is now focusing heavily on 120Hz.  Recently the latest rates are also seen in iPhone 11 series, S20 series, OnePlus 8 Pro and other phones.

But now it seems that before the end of 2020, the 144Hz refresh rate will be included in the mainstream as a flagship grade feature.  

Higher refresh rate also affects battery life.  Not much content is available to enjoy 144Hz for now.  Nevertheless, companies are now adopting this refresh rate as soon as possible.

For now, the Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 765 and MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipsets in the market only support 144Hz refresh rate.  So let's take a look at some of the smartphones currently available with 144Hz display refresh rate:


 1.Nubia Red Magic 5G

Nubia has recently launched Red Magic for gaming lovers with a 144Hz refresh rate.  The phone's display also supports a 300Hz sampling rate.  In gaming with both, you get very low touch input latency.

In the phone, you have been given SD865 chipset with 5G connectivity.  The phone also has an option of up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. 

Fast charging support of 55W comes with a 4,500mAh battery for power.  Being a gaming phone, features like active cooling, touch sensitive shoulder button, side pins have also been provided here.


2.iQOO Neo 3

Vivo has also recently launched a premium gaming smartphone under the Gaming Sub brand i.e. iQOO, in which you get a 144Hz refresh rate display.

If you look at the internal hardware, Snapdragon 865 chipset has been used here.  The phone also has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option.  A large 4,500mAh battery is provided with 44W fast charging support for power.

Apart from this, Android 10 software, side fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, dual mode 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB Type C port connectivity options are also included.

3. Nubia Play

This is Nubia's second smartphone in this list, which has been introduced in the market with a 144Hz refresh rate called Nubia Play 5G.  The display panel also supports a 240Hz sampling rate.

In the phone, you are also given the option of up to 8GB RAM, 256GB storage with Snapdragon 765G chipset.  There is also a large 5100mAH battery with 30W fast charging support for power. 

If there is a gaming phone, features like shoulder touch button and dual mode 5G have been given here.


4. iQOO Z1 5G

In iQOO Z1 5G you also get support of 144Hz refresh rate display with IPS LCD panel and punch hole.  MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus has also been used as a processor.  In the market, the phone has been introduced with 8GB RAM and 256GB option.

In addition to this 44W fast charging support, you also get a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor at the back.  For the connectivity option, the latest Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 6 are also supported here.  Along with this, this phone is also the first smartphone introduced with AVI Codec.


5.Lenovo Legion

Lenovo is also going to have its presence in the gaming smartphone ment soon.  A gaming smartphone is soon to be launched under Lenovo's Ligion brand, according to the leaked specification, the phone will also get 144Hz refresh rate support.

The display panel will also support 240Hz touch sampling rate.  Apart from this, like other gaming phones, it will also get up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and a large 5,000mAh battery with Snapdragon 865 chipset.  Apart from the refresh rate, another attractive feature in the phone is 90W fast charging support.

Gradually, but now the smartphone industry has started paying much attention to the display.  For now, smartphones with 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates are more available in the market, but soon 144Hz will also be seen in the mainstream.  So as soon as the smartphones are launched, we will update the list.
