What is ISRO


 ISRO's main job is to provide space-related technology to India, the work done by ISRO includes development of launch vehicles and rockets.


 The rocket is called the vehicle that leaves the satellite, ISRO has 2 main rockets PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) and GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle)


Of this, PSLV is used to release small and light rockets.  More than 70 satellites have been launched by PSLV so far.  GSLV is used to drop heavy satellites.


Which are at an altitude of 36 thousand kilometers from the earth.  ISRO has more than 40 centers in India.  There are 17 thousand scientists working in it.


Under Chandrayaan-1 expedition, ISRO sent an unmanned vehicle to the moon for research.  But Chandrayaan-1 worked for only 10 months.  And it was in these 10 months that Chandrayaan-1 completed its work.

History of ISRO


ISRO was founded by Vikram Sarabhai.  Therefore, they are also called the father of ISRO.  ISRO is controlled by the Department of Space.  ISRO launched the first satellite on 19 April 1975.  Whose name was Aryabhata.  By 1979, ISRO managed to make its own indigenous satellite.


But he still had to seek help from other countries to launch the satellite into space.  But it was launched in 1980 with a successful foray into space by creating its own satellite.  The beginning of Mangalyaan has been the most glorious for India in the history of space.


ISRO was successful in Mangalyaan's first attempt.  And India is the first country to reach Mars in the first attempt.  Mangalyaan was launched on 5 November 2013.  Who traveled 6660 lakh kilometers and entered Mars house with success on 24 September 2014.

India successfully launched its Gps Satellite NAVIC (Navigation With Indian Constellation) in April 2016 to set up its own Gps system.


ISRO placed 104 satellites into Earth's orbit on 15 February 2017 via PSLV-C37.  And made the world record for launching the highest satellite and raised the name of India.
